Dr. Meinarni Susilowati, M.Ed

President LITA

Meinarni Susilowati, Associate Professor of Department of English Literature at Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Maulana Malang. She erned her master (TESOL) from Monash University (2008) and doctorate (English Language Teaching) from Universitas Negeri Malang (2013). She was formery a Research Fellow at ANU College of Asia and the Pacific (2013) under Kemenag program (POSFI). She has been intesively done reaserch on identity, youth language and online communication, which have been disseminated on forums with international audience and readership. She also concerns with quality assurance matters by actively enganging on various activities conducted by ASEAN Forum Quality Assurance and FIBAA to support her expertise as an assessor of BAN PT.






Dr. Alfian, S.Pd., M.Ed.

Head of Membership Division

Alfian was born in Lubuk Nagodang, Kerinci, Jambi on January 3, 1974. He completed his undergraduate degree (S.Pd) from Jambi University in 1998. During his study at Jambi University, he got a Tunjangan Ikatan Dinas (TID) scholarship from the Indonesian government. After finished his undergraduate degree, he has got a job as an English teacher at a vocational school. During his career as an English teacher, he has got two scholarships. The first scholarship was awarded to him from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to follow a one-month youth exchange program in Japan. The second scholarship was from the Ford Foundation which was awarded to him to pursue his master `s degree. He has got his Master of Education majoring in Curriculum Studies with a specialization in Second Language studies and culture from the University of Hawai`i, USA in 2007. In 2009 he started teaching at IAIN STS Jambi (now is State Islamic University of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi) and he was awarded DIKTI Scholarship from the Directorate of Higher Education for pursuing a Doctoral degree at Flinders University of South Australia. He finished his study from Flinders University in 2015 by obtaining a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Curriculum Studies. He is currently a lecturer and the deputy dean of administration, planning, and finance at the faculty of Adab and Humanities of Islamic University STS Jambi, Indonesia. Alfian`s research interest is in the field of Education, Curriculum development, English teaching and learning, and culture. 



Hasnul Insani Djohar, P.hD.
Head of Academic Division

Hasnul Insani Djohar is the Head of Department and senior lecturer in English Literature at Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in Indonesia. As a Fulbright recipient, she completed her MA Degree in English from Central Michigan University in 2013. She also completed her PhD studies in English from the University of Exeter for an Indonesian Endowment in 2019. She researches various genres, including novels, memoirs, graphic novels, poetry, fiction, and science fiction on Women’s Literature of the Ummah with various themes, especially gender, migration, and globalization. Her recent article is “Folktales and Rites of Passage in Randa Jarrar’s A Map of Home” can be accessed at https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/poetika/article/view/51160. Her new book Gender, Minority, and Globalization in Women’s’ Literature of the Ummah will be published by Ohio State University in 2021. Suhandoko, M.Pd.


Head of Human Resource Development and Partnership Division


Suhandoko is a lecturer at the English Department, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. He finished his bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching in STKIP PGRI Jombang in 2011. In 2016, he was awarded the scholarship by the Provincial Government of East Java to pursue his master’s in English Language Teaching in Universitas Negeri Malang and in 2017, he had the chance to have a three-week course in Regional English Language Centre (RELC), Singapore. His research interest covers sociolinguistics, pragmatics, bilingualism, corpus linguistics, and second language writing. He can be contacted at suhandoko@uinsby.ac.id.
